Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Sovilj Design collects when you visit this website or send a project inquiry, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Sovilj Design is the independent design practice of Dragan Sovilj, based in Belgrade, Serbia. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@soviljdesign.com.

What we collect

When you send a request through the contact form, we receive:

• your name and email address (required);
• your company, phone number or LinkedIn profile, if you add them;
• your estimated budget range and the description of your project, if you add them.

When you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email. We do not ask for sensitive personal data, so please don't send it.

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.

Why we use it

• To answer your inquiry and prepare a proposal. The budget range only helps us suggest a realistic scope; it is not an offer or a commitment from either side.
• To work with you, if your inquiry turns into a project.
• To keep the website running and secure.

We process this data because you asked us to respond to you (steps prior to a contract) and because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing our website. We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising or add you to a newsletter.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Website hosting (Vercel), which serves the site;
• Form handling (our form provider), which receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us;
• Email, which we use to reply to you;
• Google Fonts, which delivers the typeface used on this site and receives your IP address when the font loads.

Some of these providers may process data outside Serbia or the EU. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for up to 24 months so we can follow up on the conversation, then delete them. If we start working together, project correspondence is kept for as long as needed for the project and for our legal and accounting obligations.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other sites. It only stores a small technical flag in your browser’s session storage so the intro animation doesn’t replay on every page. It is deleted when you close the tab. Because nothing here is used for tracking, we don’t show a cookie banner.

If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the personal data we hold about you;
• correct or delete it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive a copy of it in a portable format.

Just email hello@soviljdesign.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Serbia that is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. If you are in the EU, it is the authority in your country.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
